When does gift giving become bribery?

Abstract

The process of gift giving is widespread in every state and nationalities and this plays a large role in public relations. Nowadays, the relationship between giving a gift and the tradition associated with this phenomenon, bribe and bribery, corruption has become the most debatable topic in society.
Gift exchange is systematic evolving process that is deeply rooted. However, even when government structures, laws and regulations change, the remuneration and responsibility of the society in which it operates remain unchanged.
Legal restrictions on giving and accepting a gift are also reflected in public speaking in a negative context. Therefore, the article considers the gift of a bribe, the theory and practice of gifts in the framework of fundamental research.
In addition, the article emphasizes why the law restricts gift giving for public servants and even for all fields of employees. In other words, the results of this work show that when person accepts a gift, at the same time, the person also accepts an obligation to return.
