Problems of strategic management in the municipalities of Lithuania

Abstract

The article disscuses about problems of development andaction planning in local government sof Lithuania. It isfound, thatthere are no developmentp lanning techniques prepeared for local governments, the planning it self is not regulated by ant law. In development planning of self governments the principle of are a planning is not used widelyenough. Actionand development plans of local governments are prepared by different techniques, which are not consistent with eachother.
