Innovative development based on a process approach as a condition for ensuring food security

Abstract

The necessity of innovative development of the agro-industry as a condition for ensuring the Russia’s food security is shown. The fundamental differences in the construction of production on the basis of own and borrowed innovations are highlighted, which is supported by the corresponding formulas that proceed from the classical principles of economic theory. The hazardous dependence of agriculture on imported technologies is indicated. The conditions of effective import substitution in the agri-food market are disclosed. The data of a sociological survey of farmers about the need for innovation. The conclusion is drawn on the need to use the process approach for the innovative development of agriculture and ensuring national food security.
