The paper analyzes the current situation and the main methods of state regulation of corporate mergers and acquisitions in Ukraine and Kazakhstan. On this basis it is identified the main directions of improving the efficiency of state influence on the development of the market for mergers/acquisitions in order to intensify the process of market restructuring of the corporate sector in the transformational economies.
