Abstract

The article covers issues of language policy, defining the role of public administration in the system of language reforms and political processes. Actualization of concepts such as national identity and interethnic tolerance described the main stages of the language situation in Kazakhstan. The same analysis of the international situation in the UK and the European Union helps to describe the linguistic interaction as one of the keys in economic and socio-political issues.
