Perspectives of the Kazakh-Belgian cooperation

Abstract

Kazakhstan pays special attention to the development of its partnership with the European Union and takes everything positive from the experience of European integration and development. European vector remains a major political trade- economic and investment priority of the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while the Kingdom of Belgium is main economic partner in a bilateral format. The total amount of the Belgian direct investments to Kazakhstan amounted to 3,7 billion dollars over the past five years, wherefore Belgium became the fifth largest European investor to Kazakhstan's economy. Kazakhstan and Belgium are firmly committed to expansion of bilateral political, economic and cultural ties with each other.
