Abstract

The article deals with the experience of developed and developing countries on the public sector reform. Based on the analysis the authors identified the current development trends of the public sector in a market economy, formed in view of its functions. It is noted that the general trend is to reduce the presence of the state in a market economy. The public sector reform in foreign countries is compared to similar processes in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
