The scientific article analyzes the international experience of digitalization in education on the example of South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia in order to determine the possibility of applying best practices in Kazakhstan. Digitalization is based on a well-developed IT infrastructure and the level of informatization in educational institutions. In Kazakhstan, geographical location, a large number of remote settlements, remoteness from regional centers, insufficient equipment of a significant part of schools in the country, make the use of information and communication technologies in education an important condition for the survival and development of the educational system. It is necessary to turn to the experience of countries that have already successfully passed this path and achieved certain positive results. Authors used a set of general scientific and special methods of cognition. In this study, the level of digitalization of the education system in South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia was determined. Despite the differences in the level of development, the countries under consideration are united by common approaches to determining priorities. Digitalization provides significant opportunities for Kazakhstan to improve its infrastructure and balanced development. An analysis of experience in the development of the information society and the creation of information infrastructure shows that information and communication technologies play a key role in these processes. The active role of the state allows for mass training of managers, specialists and the general population, including primary digital education and its support throughout life.
