Countering religious radicalism in Kazakhstan

Abstract

The author of the article introducing the concepts "terrorism", "extremism" and "radicalism" moves to the clear relationship that has arisen today between them and the emergence of the "international terrorism" concept. The article uses materials reflecting the current religious situation in Kazakhstan, provides the main reasons that contributed to the emergence and spread of religious extremism, radicalism and terrorism in the context of Kazakhstan society and its traditional way of life.
In addition, the measures taken by the authorized state bodies and non-governmental organizations in the sphere of countering the spread of religious radicalism and extremism are considered. The experience, forms and level of interaction with relevant international organizations and specialized centers were studied.
