Abstract

The article discusses the concept of fundamental rights and freedoms, raises issues of international security mechanisms designed to protect these rights. According to the author, due to the urgency of this problem, the search for new mechanisms of human rights protection from potential hazards and strengthening of existing security standards to more effectively implement them for a long time will be on the agenda of the international community. It also describes the history of the development of systems for the protection of human rights within the UN and at regional level.
