In the article, analyzing the bilateral diplomatic relations between Turkey and Russia, we analyze their role and importance in the field of international relations. Relations between Turkey and Russia have a long history. The end of the Cold War did not change the structure of bilateral relations. With the political initiative of both sides, Turkey and Russia began to emphasize cooperation in the early 2000s. Since then, Ankara and Moscow have been closely cooperating in various fields. However, the national interests of Russia and Turkey differed when it came to questions related to territories from the Caucasus to the Middle East and the Black Sea. It is important for us to analyze what constitutes bilateral relations and how cooperation between these states is developing, despite significant conflict of interests, because it has not only regional, but also global significance. Moreover, the dynamics of bilateral relations help to understand future trends
