The image of the state as a foreign policy factor – the example of the United States

Abstract

The emergence of the need to inform society and the complication of the system of international relations led to an increase in the importance of studying the image of the state, as a result of which the image of the state – began to occupy an important place in world politics. One of the first states that realized the importance of image, foreign policy image, prestige in the international arena and took up its active development is the United States. Therefore, the identification of the main constituent mechanisms and methods of the image of the state in this region is very important the relevance of the study of the mechanisms that formed and followed the foreign policy image in the United States. The article proposes to analyze digital media resources related to the state image, foreign policy image in the United States, to study the activities of foreign policy image-forming structures. In the course of the research work, the authors came to reasonable conclusions regarding the current importance of the problem of image in US foreign policy.
