Abstract

Iran is connected with Central Asia countries with centuries-old traditions of historical and cultural relations. At the same time, Iran tends to see the relationship with Kazakhstan as a priority in its relations with the states of micro-region. One of the most important factor, responsible for the content and nature of the relationship between Iran and Kazakhstan, is a common geopolitical situation in the frames of Caspian region. However, along with it, this factor contributes to this process not only constructive elements but some tension as well.
