E-government on the international agenda: the evolution of the concept

Abstract

In his article the author analyzes the global efforts of the international community to cooperate in the field of e-government during the past two decades, and argues why it is necessary to set up the international agenda that takes into account the typical challenges that developed and developing countries face in implementation of e-government projects. For example, it presents the analysis of the joint efforts of the international community in promoting the idea of e-government as a universal value and a tool to achieve better governance as well as harmonization of legal and practical aspects of the innovation realization on a global scale.
