Abstract

The article analyzes the phenomenon of soft power in the context of cultural diplomacy. Based on softpower classical theory, the author considers the basic conceptual approaches for defining these categories. In the era of conflicts and instability the role of culture as a "soft power" tool ison the rise.Cultural diplomacy is an effective tool of the state foreign policy strategy, that allows not only to defend and advance its national interests on the world stage, but also have a direct impact on the political, economic, social processes of the world.
