Abstract

The international reputation of any state is determined by many factors. This is not only political weight, influence and economic resources, but also its spiritual and cultural potential. In an era of conflict and instability, the factor of culture as a tool of “soft power” in world politics acquires a new meaning. This is a significant tool of state policy, which is used to advance the interests of the country, expand social and cultural cooperation, and improve mutual understanding between nations and peoples.
The foreign cultural policy of Kazakhstan is aimed at creating a favorable image of the country abroad, as well as at promoting its own national interests in the world. What do we want to show our foreign friends? Probably a positive image of Kazakhstan, attractive to our friends and neighbors. Here the question arises - what are the criteria for this attractiveness? What exactly can we attract foreigners?
This article discusses the foreign cultural policy of Kazakhstan, conducted by the state in the framework of the program “Rukhani Zhangyru”. The author pays attention to the main events that were developed to achieve the goals of the program, analyzes the goals, objectives, which are formulated in the documents. The article notes the role of various institutions and ministries that are engaged in the promotion and implementation of the program initiated by the Head of State.
