The impact of food security on the country's international competitiveness

Today the issue of sustainable development is a subject of importance for the success of international relations. Therefore, UN member countries are actively working on the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. One of the Sustainable Development Goals is directed toward eliminating hunger. This goal provides for a policy of agro-food security. In it's turn, agro-food security presents itself as one of the factors of confidence of any country in the international arena.
In the article, the authors conducted a comparative analysis of such international ratings as the Index of Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Index of Food Security. The problems that hinder the effective implementation of sustainable development objectives which would ensure food security in Kazakhstan were revealed.
