Abstract

The article presents an overview of methodological approaches to assessing gender inequality. The analysis of the results of research by international organizations on the gender gap index of the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Development Program has been carried out. The article tests the hypothesis that economic growth contributes to the reduction of gender inequality through good governance.
