Procedure for retraction or amendment of published articles

The editorial office recognizes the importance of the integrity and completeness of research data to the scientific community and adheres to high standards to maintain the credibility of the Journal electronic archive.

  1. In case of detection of errors or inaccuracies, the author shall inform the editorial office and retract and amend the publication promptly. The amendments are published on the Journal web-page by replacing the article’s electronic version indicating the corrections made.
  2. In case of suspicion regarding improper behavior or violation of professional ethics by the author, the editorial office may initiate an investigation according to the Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines. (https://publicationethics.org/retraction-guidelines)

The editorial office considers possible retraction of an article in case of the following violations:
– There is evidence of the unreliability of published information either as a result of deliberate actions (for example, data falsification) or due to errors in calculations or experiments;
– The conclusions were previously published in another edition provided the absence of proper reference, permission, and justification of the need for repeated publishing (i.e., cases of duplicate publication);
– Violation of copyright or plagiarism;
– The article contains classified materials (without permission to use them);
– The article was published through a compromised or amended reviewing process;
– The author did not disclose a conflict of interest that could influence the paper interpretation or the reviewers’ recommendations.

A “retracted” water sign is added to the electronic version of the published retracted article, with an explanation of the reasons for retraction. An article is removed from the Journal web-page in exceptional cases when the reason for retraction was a violation of intellectual property rights, the privacy right, disclosure of classified materials, a court or governmental decision. The details of retraction are forwarded to the databases in which the Journal is indexed.
