Abstract

This article presents the theoretical foundations for the formation of a digital space of integration associations. In the context of the transition to a digital economy and the allocation of digitalization as one of the areas of cooperation within the framework of integration associations, there is an increasing need to study the theoretical foundations for the formation of a digital space of integration associations in order to assess the validity and prospects for the practical implementation of national and supranational initiatives. Using domestic and foreign literature, on the basis of causal analysis and the method of induction, approaches to the definition of "digital space", the prerequisites for its formation, development features are analyzed, and the effect of digitalization on the sustainability of regional integration is also assessed. As an example, the experience of the European Union (EU), Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), of which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a member, was studied. At the same time, the evolution of the formation of the digital space is considered from the standpoint of the regional science, digitalization of the economy and digital economic integration.
