Abstract

The paper identified areas of fighting corruption at the local level, the necessity of cooperation of law enforcement agencies and civil society, the ways of partnerships between the public and the authorities empowered by the state to fight corruption offenses under the auspices of local government. It is proved that the monopoly of local authorities and lack of control of civil society is the basis for corruption risks.. The main evidence of corruption in local government including: informality relations lack of transparency, the uncertainty of administrative procedures and practices. Established that this negative phenomenon is due to the situation in the country, organization management activities in the region, and level of social and economic development of local communities. Corruption in local government is explained by systematic transformation of the socio- political system
