Abstract

This scientific article examines the experience of using the information space to achieve foreign policy goals, including the formation of a positive image, the promotion of national interests, narrative control and support for diplomatic initiatives in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania. These efforts seek not only to strengthen the positions of countries on the world stage, but also to ensure stability, security and prosperity of national interests. The authors used comparative analysis, quantitative and qualitative research methods to analyze the strategies and approaches used by these countries in information diplomacy. They reviewed legislation regulating the information space, the development of mass media and social media, as well as the use of digital technologies in foreign policy communication.

The analysis of the experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Lithuania revealed common characteristics and differences in approaches to using the information space to achieve foreign policy goals. The Republic of Kazakhstan actively promotes and implements digitalization, paying special attention to the development of information technologies and social media in order to present its position on the world stage. On the other hand, the Republic of Lithuania stands out for its high level of press freedom and support for an open information space.
