Abstract

The interest of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the European Union caused by the fact that Kazakhstan is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and part of which is located on the European continent. That’s why Kazakhstan is interested in the events taking place in Europe. Another important reason for the interest of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the European Union is that today the EU is one of the major economic centers of the world, trade and economic integration union. Europe is, above all, a larger consumer market, mainly of energy resources. Europe provides export of capital and investment in the economy of Kazakhstan. Europe means a high level of life, science, education and health.
The Republic of Kazakhstan, in its turn, is attractive for the European Union to its geopolitical location, and the territory as a transport corridor linking Europe with Asia, and its natural resources, especially hydrocarbon and mining sector. That Kazakhstan has rich proven and potential oil and gas reserves has played an important role in defining the objectives of the EU. Accordingly, a strategic role in the region of Central Asia identifies the growing interest in Kazakhstan as a supplier of energy resources to the European Union.
