Kazakhstan and Singapore: Modernization in inter-ethnic relations

The article is intended to make a comparative analysis of the modernization models of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singapore in the interethnic relations sphere and to identify their general and special features. The interethnic peace and political stability was the main political aspect of the national identity formation in both states, despite distinction of starting conditions, considerable civilization differences. Consolidation of separate ethnic groups, each protecting its own material culture, language, consciousness and the self-name was the common feature, on the one hand. Formation of general values and faiths for all ethnic groups was the common feature, on the other hand.
