Annotation. The article analyzes the international legal aspects of combating climate change and strategies for their resolution. It reviews key international agreements and documents aimed at regulating climate change, including the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. Particular attention is paid to the role of national courts in interpreting and applying international climate law, as well as the contribution of the Global South to the formation of legal mechanisms for climate protection. The authors of the article analyze the difficulties associated with the implementation of international obligations and suggest ways to improve the existing mechanisms of legal regulation, emphasizing the need for closer cooperation between states and international organizations to combat the global threat of climate change.
